Indigo is the first in a trilogy of solo piano albums from composer and pianist Peter Breiner, each inspired by a colour and its emotional world.

In Indigo, Breiner explores the stillness and introspection of a colour often connected with contemplation, depth and spirituality. His music speaks with restraint and clarity, inviting reflection rather than demanding attention.

Like the colour itself—blending the calm of blue with the intensity of violet—these pieces traverse a rich emotional landscape. Breiner’s lyrical writing and gentle touch invite the listener into a world of intimate, unhurried, quiet beauty.

Known as a conductor, pianist, arranger, and composer, Peter Breiner has worked with many of the world’s most prestigious orchestras, including the Royal Philharmonic, Hong Kong Philharmonic, and Moscow Philharmonic. He is also one of the world’s most recorded musicians, with over 290 albums released and millions sold.

Fluent in seven languages, Breiner has hosted various TV and radio programmes about music, including Slovakia’s most popular talk show, which drew over 2 million viewers. His first book, Maple Leaves (1998), became an immediate No.1 national non-fiction bestseller. In 2016 he published his second book, Isn’t There Another Globe?
